  • The Tags

    Tag & Tailor dog tags are made from premium quality, 2mm thick, solid brass and 304 stainless steel, in a brushed finish.

    The majority of tags are cut in bulk using a UK Laser cutting company. Occasionally, limited edition shapes are released, which are cut in-house, using the same machine used to engrave.

  • The Designs

    All designs are hand drawn by Cheryl at Tag & Tailor. Each one starts out as a very rough pencil sketch before being drawn in detail with an iPad and Apple Pencil.

    Although it's time consuming, it makes every design special and unique.

    There's no AI generated images here, and there never will be.

  • Engraving

    The tags are engraved inhouse, using specialist laser engraving machines. Each one is finished by hand using various sanding and polishing techniques, ensuring a high standard of quality control.

  • Split Rings

    Each tag comes with one small and one large split ring in the same colour as the tag.

    Extensive testing has been carried out over the years to ensure these rings are both strong and durable, yet easily attached to your dogs collar.

Brass vs Stainless Steel

  • Brass

    Brass is a yellow-gold coloured metal and is not as hardwearing as stainless steel. It doesn't rust but may darken slightly over time. A quick rub with a polishing cloth will bring back the shine.

  • Stainless Steel

    Stainless steel is a silver-coloured, strong, durable metal, and takes a long time to engrave. It's highly resistant to corrosion and rust when the correct care instructions are followed.

Top Tip

Try to avoid sea water when possible as the salt is very harsh and corrosive.

If contact with sea water occurs, (which it probably will at some point!) rinse well with tap water and dry thoroughly. This is especially important for stainless steel.
